How can I register with a program?
Once you have signed up to the platform, you have access to the list of Affiliated Advertisers. This means that you can, in just a few mouse clicks, request that your site be registered with one or more programs. You will receive a reply e-mail within 48 hours confirming registration of your website with the requested program(s). From this point on, you can start creating links on your site, and generating revenue.
Can I register with several programs?
Absolutely. In fact, the underlying interest of Effiliation is to give you access to several affiliation programs from one single platform. It is up to you to select one or more, bearing in mind that revenue from several programs is simply added together. In fact, registering with several programs can enhance the added value delivered to your visitors, by providing them with even more services and functionalities.
Which programs should I register my site for?
Generally speaking, we recommend opting for Affiliated Advertisers whose theme is somehow related to the theme of your site. To begin with, there will be an automatic shortlisting of Affiliated Advertisers since only Affiliated Advertisers potentially of interest to your site display in the Affiliate area. To identify other Affiliated Advertisers you might want to list, we recommend to consult the Affiliates Help Page.
What is the waiting time for validation?
All sites featuring registration to the platform and then to a program are validated manually, either by us or by the Affiliated Advertiser. This procedure makes for a good-quality network, which is beneficial for Affiliated Advertisers and Affiliates alike. You will however understand that this thoroughness takes time, and you can expect to be waiting several days before validation is complete. In any case, regardless of the results (accepted or refused), you will be informed by e-mail as soon as possible.
My site is not hosted in China and/or I don’t live in China
Absolutely no problem! Regardless of your physical location worldwide, we can send your money by check or bank transfer.
Can I register with affiliation programs and advertising schemes other than Effiliation?
Absolutely. It is up to us to prove to you that the Effiliation affiliation solution is the best. You can be with Effiliation, and at the same time sign up to other advertising schemes, an independent affiliation program, or another affiliation platform. That said, remember that if you spread yourself too thin, you might never reach the limits necessary to receive revenue. Therefore, we recommend that you focus exclusively on Effiliation, but ultimately, it is up to you…
How much does registration cost?
Nothing! On the contrary, registration will generate cash for you. Registration with the platform is free. And registration with Affiliated Advertiser programs is also free. There are no hidden costs. And, once you have created, on your site, links to one or more Affiliated Advertisers, you can start generating revenue. In other words, even though becoming an Affiliate costs absolutely nothing, it can generate a lot of money for you.
Why do you need my personal details?
We need your personal details to be able to send you your money!
Also, with your agreement, we might contact you directly by e-mail or telephone in the event of new developments of potential interest to you (for example, an Affiliated Advertiser increasing its rate of remuneration). In any case, pursuant to the French data protection law n° 78-017, each Affiliated Advertiser is entitled to access and change information concerning that Affiliated Advertiser. Do this simply by logging on and going to the profile-change page. We are also listed with the CNIL (French Data Protection Authority) under the n° 725539. Lastly, we undertake never to pass on your information to third parties; your contact details remain with us and can only be accessed by us.
How to register a second site?
There are two ways to register a second site.
Firstly, you can use effi_id, an identifier used to track the origin of traffic and associated commissions. However, if you do use this solution, our advertisers will only see your first registration site.
That is why we recommend the second solution; namely, creating an account for each site.
In this way, you can have a separate management interface per site, and be validated for the site on which the programs will be displayed.

If a request to register with the program is refused, can I find out the reasons?
It may be that your site does not correspond to the advertiser's theme, that the site was in maintenance at the time of validation, or that the program is restricted by a certain number of terms and conditions.
I heard about a program, but I cannot find it on the platform. Why?
Perhaps you heard about a program that was at the planning phase, and that has not yet been launched at the time you connected.
It might also be a hidden program; specifically, it might be a lead program for quota reasons, where an advertiser wants to limit the number of leads, and so we have to limit distribution of the program in question.

I am keyworder and I have no Internet site; how can I register?
If you want to promote one or more advertisers by purchasing keywords, and you have no Internet site, then simply click the “keyworder” checkbox in the registration form.
Account Management
How does Effiliation make money?
Effiliation is in more or less the same situation as an Affiliate; namely, Effiliation earns a commission on the total revenue due from the Affiliated Advertiser to its Affiliates. Therefore, it is in our own best interest to make sure you make as much money as possible. This win-win situation is the best possible guarantee you can have as regards the quality of service we provide.
How much will I be paid?
You will be paid according to the actions done on the Affiliated Advertiser site by Internet users coming from your site. Our platform features a number of payment models:
- Pay per click (CPC): the number of persons who clicked on an Advertiser’s button or banner;
- Pay per prospect (CPL): form completed on the Advertiser’s site by Internet users coming from the Affiliate’s site;
- Pay per purchase (CPA): the commission depends on the purchases made on the Advertiser’s site by Internet users coming from the Affiliate’s site;
It is not unusual that different payment models be used within the same affiliation program.
When will I be paid?
If, at the end of the month, we owe you more than 500 Yuan, end of month. This date will be given in your “Your Results” menu, “Invoicing” tab. Please bear in mind that we can only pay you subject to your Affiliated Advertisers having first paid us the money due to you. If this is not the case, the money due to you is carried forward to the following month.
How do I know how much you owe me?
This is very easy to work out: once you have registered, you can access your Affiliates area. Here, you can consult the number of impressions, clicks, forms completed, sales, purchases generated, click rate, prospect transformation rate, and so on. All these interesting statistics are easily accessible, both globally as well as for each individual program with which you have registered. Right beside these stats, you have the corresponding payments due. In this way, you can easily identify how much cash each program, and even each link, generated. You can then use this information to optimize links so as to focus on those that attracted most visitor attention.
Do I have to wait, for each program, until I have reached the payment threshold?
No. In fact, one of the biggest advantages of our platform is you can easily and quickly register for several affiliation programs and total the various remunerations. And then, as soon as the total sum of the programs has exceeded 200 Yuan, we send you your money. Otherwise, your credit balance is carried forward to the following month.
How can I be sure that my revenue has not been underestimated?
Effiliation acts as a “trusted party” between Affiliates and Affiliated Advertisers. Remember, we are in the same position as you; we are paid by our Affiliated Advertisers on the basis of actions (mouse clicks, purchases, etc.) done by Internet users originating in your Affiliate site. And, the more money you earn, the more money we earn. Therefore, what possible interest would there be for us to underestimate your earnings?
Do you only make bank cheque payments?
No. If you prefer, we can pay you by bank transfer. You give your preference when registering. You can change your preferred payment mode at any time after registration simply by going to your Affiliates area. Note however that if you change the payment mode to “bank transfer”, then you must change your profile before the next call for invoices. Otherwise, you will be paid by cheque and the modification will only be taken into account when settling the next invoice.
Have you any advice on how to optimize revenue via affiliation?

Is there any way to segment traffic generated?
Yes: you can install effi_id to distinguish between traffic and commissions. effi_id is an identifier that you place behind tracking links.

Why did my commissions change between the last date of a given month on the first date of the following month?
This means that we are in a period of consolidation. Between the 1 in the 5 the following month, advertisers validate their leads and/or sales generated by Affiliates. As a result, the commissions corresponding to this period will display as zero. This does not mean however that you have earned no commissions, and your commissions should re-display over the days following the 5th of the month. If however, you observe a significant difference after the 10th of the month, simply e-mail us at

Can I find out the reasons for refusals in relation to leads or sales?

Can I send just one invoice even if I have several Affiliate accounts?
No. You must prepare a separate invoice for each Affiliate account.
Can I change my details at any time?
Yes. Go to your Affiliate area, to “Your Profile”. Here, you can change your details at any time (contact details, etc.) as well as information about your site (addresses, themes, etc.).
I have fewer impressions than clicks; how is this possible?
Some supports do not count the number of impressions (Flash, for example). This is why there are fewer impressions than clicks. This will have no impact whatsoever on your commissions.
Alternatively, this difference might be because you changed the tracking link.
Setting Up Supports
Why do I not have access to all affiliation programs?
Depending on the themes of your sites, a list of Affiliated Advertisers (chosen from amongst all our customers) will display. We do this to simplify the process of registration and linking, recommending, for a given site, Affiliated Advertisers with a theme similar to that of your site, so as to optimize the matching of Affiliated Advertisers and Affiliates.
Can I place several ads on each of my pages?
Absolutely. You can lay out your site as you want. You can have several advertisements on each page, even if they do not come from our Affiliated Advertisers (see above) or even if they are two links to the same Affiliated Advertiser. However, we strongly recommend not exceeding one or two advertisements per page, because if your visitors feel submerged with ads when they visit your pages, they will go elsewhere.
You can use the rotating banner management system to install a unique tag running several programs.
In the case of a pay-per-click model, do I have the right to click Affiliated Advertiser banners on my own site?
No. In fact, this would be considered fraud. Our system is able to detect attempted fraud, and unfortunately, we have been obliged on a number of occasions in the past to terminate contractual relations with Affiliates for precisely this reason. Therefore, instead of taking unreasonable risks just to earn a few euro extra, we recommend focusing on the quality of your site. This will increase visitor count and lead to increased revenue.
Can I insert affiliation program links in an e-mail or a newsletter?
Yes. This is authorized if you are not using the pay-per-click model. You can send paid links to prospects or sales.
Please remember however, you are not authorized to send spam (defined in this context as sending unsolicited messages) by including, in the message, affiliation program links of our Affiliated Advertisers. Sending spam may result in you being excluded from our platform.
As regards banners and buttons, am I authorized to copy the graphic file on my site?
Absolutely. By default, we send you a completely functional HTML code that you can use to avoid having to make any changes to code. If however, for whatever reason, you want the graphic files hosted on your server (rather than on the Effiliation one) then you are free to save the file on your hard disk, and then send it to your server. Make sure you insert the right link on your pages!
Even though I display supports on my site, I received an e-mail saying that I was inactive.
You were referenced as inactive because the installed supports did not record any clicks. Maybe they should be highlighted a little more? Maybe alternative formats should be tried out?
You might also consider contacting the Customer Care Manager in charge of the program.

How can I insert an XML catalog?
The insertion of the XML catalog will depend on your parameters.
It is very difficult to explain, in general terms, how to insert an XML catalog.

How can I have other supports?
To have other logos, buttons and other visuals, e-mail your Customer Care Manager, whose hyperlinked name is given at the bottom of each program and links to his e-mail address.
